Book Review: Maybe by Joy Avery

Maybe (Lassiter Sisters Book 2)Maybe by Joy Avery
My rating: 5 of 5 stars

Another awesome read by the amazing Joy Avery. I could not put this book down and read it in one day. Joy touched on some very sensitive issue that you do not hear many people talk bout mental illness and cancer. I applaud Joy for stepping out of her normal writing and talking about them. Rana and Dallas are relationship goals, they had their test and trials and came out victorious. When Dallas pushed Rana away I was upset but could understand what made him do it. Who doesn't love a man in uniform? I am excited about the next Lassiter sisters story!

Book Review: That Church Life by Teresa B. Howell

That Church LifeThat Church Life by Teresa B. Howell
My rating: 5 of 5 stars

I loved this book from beginning to end. It is a true page turner and I found it hard to put it down. Author Teresa B. Howell did a great job in revealing some of the issues that happen within the church that no one like to talk about. That Church Life was centered around Missy who is the main character in the book. Missy lived the lived for the church except for when her crazy boyfriend Tommy was added to the equation. Tommy cared about no one and was out to get whatever he could no matter who he hurt. He Father Pastor Jones lived to have the proper image for the church and had a closet full of secrets that were slowing revealed in this book. One of my favorite parts in the book happened when she went to Jamaica with her friends and found love. I am looking forward to reading book 2.

Book Review: Step-by-Step Author Website Guide by Tyora Moody

Step-by-Step Author Website Guide (The Literary Entrepreneur Series Book 2)Step-by-Step Author Website Guide by Tyora Moody
My rating: 5 of 5 stars

A short read but is packed with valuable information for every author new and seasoned. I loved that it was broken down into small chapters that had various actions for you to complete to help reinforce what you learned. Through reading this book I was able to go back review my website and make changes to it. This is definitely a book that I will keep on hand as a reference.
